Art Club
Meetings of the art group take place at the Village Hall on Mondays from 1.00pm to 3.00pm as a social gathering of like-minded people with a love of art.
At present the 12 who attend have a range of abilities that they share with the other members, giving hints, tips and encouragement. During the year we set ourselves challenges to paint pictures using any medium of our choice.
We produce the Shiptonthorpe Art Group calendar each year and paint and have printed our own Christmas cards.
We pay a monthly fee of £10 and take along our own equipment and paints. As well as spending our time drawing and painting and having a chat, we enjoy a cuppa and always a piece of cake!
